Were planning to go to WDW January 19th-21 with 2 boys 8 and 10yrs to beat the crowds. Did not want to miss Fantasmic but shows are only on Thurs & Sun -wondering if we are better to miss & go during the week or go on weekend with more ppl but get

    Hi Stefanie,

Fantasmic! is awesome; it's my favorite nighttime spectacular.  I'm not happy that Disney is not running the show every single night at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I think the crowds will be a little bigger over the weekend, but not substantially so.

So the question is which day would be better for Fantasmic!, Thursday the 21st or Sunday, the 24th of January.  I don't know, but I would personally pick Thursday night because I think the crowds will be slightly less on a weekday.  Also, a lot of guests come for a week starting on Saturday or Sunday.  I think those guests just arriving will try to see Fantasmic! the first time it is offered (Sunday for them) just in case the weather causes Thursday's show to be cancelled; i.e. their chance of actually seeing the show during their stay increases if they have two chances as opposed to just waiting until Thursday night.  However, this is just my personal thinking and I don't have any data to back it up.

Good luck and have a magical vacation!
