Welcome to planDisney! If you ask me, it is never too early to start planning a magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. Whether it is your very first trip or you are a frequent visitor, there is always something new and exciting that you won't want to miss.
You are definitely ahead of the game, Aimee, on booking 2027 vacations currently (but that's my style as well). We typically see those Vacation Packages released in the summer of the preceding year (so summer 2026 for 2027), so you have a little bit of waiting still ahead of you. That said, summer will be here before you know it (we are only 107 days from the start of the New Year after all), so there are some things you can start thinking about. Once reservations open up, they are popular, so I always suggest thinking about where you want to stay. Come up with a list of your top choices of resort hotels and have an idea of where you want to stay. If you plan to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom, focus your attention on Magic Kingdom area resorts like the
Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or
Wilderness Lodge. More interested in riding the
Skyliner than
Caribbean Beach Resort or
Pop Century make the list.
