Hi Ann, welcome to planDisney!
Doesn't the idea of a March visit to Walt Disney World Resort put a spring in your step?
Spring is a Tiggerific time to visit thanks to typically moderate temperatures and seasonal events like the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. My best tip is to quite literally stop and smell the flowers.
Disney's Magical Express, the complimentary service that transported Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Guests to and from Orlando International Airport, was discontinued as of January 1, 2022. The good news is that there are
a number of valid options for getting you, your party, and your luggage where you need to be in comfort and style. I'll highlight my top three for you now.
1. Mears Connect offers a similar service to Disney's Magical Express; the biggest difference is that you must get your own luggage from the airport before boarding the motor coach. There is an associated cost per person and you can arrange for one-way or round trip transport.
2. Sunshine Flyer is another motorcoach service that transports Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Guests to and from Orlando International Airport. The buses look like old-fashioned locomotives; they even have paper train conductor hats for the kids.
3. Rideshare services such as Lyft and Uber are easy to book via their respective apps. In my experience, there are more than enough drivers to meet demand. When using a rideshare service, I typically book my ride from the airport when I have my luggage in hand and I pre-schedule my ride back to the airport. Kindly note that
Disney's Minnie Van service, requested through the Lyft app, is not currently available for airport transportation.
I hope you thoroughly enjoy the destination and the journey, Ann. If any more questions pop up between now and your trip, the planDisney panelists are ready to spring into action!
