    We are planning to go to Typhoon Lagoon sometime during our visit the week of May 21. I was just wondering if we need water shoes. We have 3 kids 8 and under and I don't want them to be miserable!! I just don't want to pack unnecessary items. Thanks!!

    Hi Colleen!

          My son and I love going to the two amazing Water Parks in Walt Disney World, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach!  We always wear our water shoes (Crocs) when we are in the Water Parks.  The pavement in the Water Parks gets quite warm on a sunny day and it is quite rough on the feet.  So having something on your feet offers the needed protection and helps avoid any foot injuries as well.  You can wear water shoes on almost all of the water rides including the Lazy River and Wave Pool at Typhoon Lagoon.  I would recommend wearing your water shoes in the Wave Pool because the bottom is very textured and rough.  I definitely wouldn't leave home without your water shoes if you are planning to go to a Water Park during your Walt Disney World vacation!
