Boo to you, Jessica! I'm delighted to see your question today as I prepare to visit
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party next month with my sister! We are looking forward to having a spooktacular night of tricks, treats, and Halloween entertainment while enjoying one another's company! And how special that it will also be your sister's first visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth - I know you will make so many magical memories together! Be sure to stop by Guest Relations or your Disney Resort hotel front desk and ask for a 1st Visit celebration button for your sister! These complimentary buttons are a perfect way to commemorate the magic of a first visit, and double as a souvenir!
Jessica, typically tickets for the Halloween party go on sale around
Halfway to Halloween! This past year, the
Disney Parks Blog announced ticket sales would begin on May 8 for guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels, and on May 15 for all other guests, with the first party date held on August 9. I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog starting in April for announcements and teasers about this ticketed event so you don't miss the release date!
At the party, you can expect the spirits of fun to materialize quickly - from rare character meet and greets to
ride overlays (Space Mountain in absolute darkness is my kind of spooky thrill!) to
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, you're going to be surrounded by seasonal fun! Don't forget to stop by the trick-or-treat stations to load up on treats to bring back home with you, too!
Before I let you go, Jessica, usually with your party ticket, you will be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4 PM and the event will kick off a few hours later at 7 PM. I like to enjoy a late lunch at a Magic Kingdom area resort and then hop on the
Disney Monorail to arrive for that early entry. Some of my favorites are
Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort and
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This year, we will be enjoying a late brunch around noon and then monorail hopping to visit the other resorts before the party! I really enjoy those few bonus hours to knock out some of our favorite attractions before the party starts!
I hope this helps, Jessica, and I hope you and your sister have the best time together! If you have any other questions as you make your final arrangements for this visit, feel free to hurry back to
planDisney and let us know! Here, there's always room for one more question!
Stay Spooky,
Alison
