Boo to you, Kaylyn! I'm so happy you found us here at planDisney. It's great to hear from new Guests, especially ones from my home state!
At this time, all dates for
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at
Magic Kingdom Park during the month of August have sold out. Unfortunately, additional dates are usually not added once the schedule has been announced as each event affects standard theme park operating hours and takes a considerable amount of planning and preparation. In the past, there
have been times when tickets to a sold-out party were sold the day of the party. However, this has been
very rare and is in no way a guarantee.
While this news may be disappointing, please know that there are other ways to enjoy the spookiest (and not so scary) season around the resort. Firstly, you'll be able to see all of the decorations by visiting the theme parks during normal operating hours. Also, there will be tons of Halloween merchandise around the parks, just not merchandise exclusive to the party. I just got back from the resort a few days ago and there were Halloween souvenirs galore. And the display at
World of Disney at
Disney Springs is top-notch! Plus, there will be specialty treats available all around the resort as well. Once again, you won't be able to purchase any of the party-exclusive treats, but there are still plenty of delicious and unique finds for the season at many locations. And if you are staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you can catch a view of the fireworks from a spot at your hotel. While you won't be able to see the projections on Cinderella Castle, you'll be able to stare in awe at the spectacular explosions of color above it! If you're not staying at one of these hotels, just make an advanced dining reservation at one of their table-service restaurants and you are usually able to stay and enjoy the fireworks from one of their fireworks-viewing areas.
Plus, some attractions and experiences make you feel like it's Halloween all year round. I don't know about you, but I'm instantly in the Halloween spirit after a ride on the
Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom Park (and a visit to its gift shop
Memento Mori) and the
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can also make an advance dining reservation for lunch or dinner for Minnie's Seasonal Dining at
Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios. During the fall season, it is themed to Halloween and will definitely get you into the spooky spirit!
Kaylyn, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the resort. If you have any other questions leading up to your magical vacation, please feel free to
reach out to me.
