    We are planning to go in Jan '11. Package rates won't be out until Aug, so can't reserve until then. How can I make my 180+10 dining reservations in July withouit a confirmed reservation? Thanks

    Hi Olivia!

    You can make advanced dining reservations by calling (407) WDW-DINE or online here.  You don't have to have a hotel reservation to make them; you can just tie them to your phone number.  However, you are right that without a confirmed reservation, you can make only make them for 180 days out; i.e. you don't get to take advantage of the extra 10 days.  That means you will have to call in day after day, especially if you are trying for the most popular restaurants and times.  In my opinion, only Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom may be a problem since you are not traveling during a very busy time.

    The other option would be to make a "room only" reservation now.  You can do that on the phone with Disney now, even though the 2011 rates haven't been released.  What Disney will do is charge you at this year's rate and then adjust it when the new rates come out.  You can also convert a "room only" reservation to a vacation package later on.
