Hiya, Adam! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us!
It looks like your Walt Disney World adventure is right around the corner. How exciting! You’ll be immersed in the magic and enjoying everything the Vacation Kingdom of the World has to offer faster than you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
With the winter holiday festivities and parties wrapped up for the season, the main thing to consider as you craft your theme park plan is your own specific interests and preferences. Are you a fan of
classic rides? Then starting your trip at the Magic Kingdom might make the most sense. Are you a big
Star Wars fan? Then Hollywood Studios is the place to start. You can browse all of the shows and attractions at each park on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and whatever you decide will be great for you.
It’s almost impossible to predict the future, and that includes Walt Disney World crowd levels. The good news is that crowd levels generally decrease as we get from Christmas and New Year’s Eve (some busiest days at Walt Disney World). Based on my preferences, if I were visiting on the dates you specified, I would start by going to the Magic Kingdom on January 9, EPCOT on January 10, and Hollywood Studios on January 11.
I know you didn’t include the Animal Kingdom in your three-day itinerary, but if you decide to change your ticket to a Park Hopper pass or swap which parks you visit, I’d recommend checking out
Zootopia: Better Zoogether in the Tree of Life Theater. This new 4D show has songs and appearances from your favorite Zootopia characters, like Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. It looks like a paw-some time!
Adam, I hope this info helps with your upcoming vacation. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have any other trip planning questions. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
