Greetings, Caroline, and welcome to planDisney. September is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort, and I love that your plans include meeting Mickey, Minnie, and their pals. They have impeccable style, with outfits that bring an extra flair of fun to photos!
Caroline, Mickey and his friends will unveil bright new looks for Halloween Time, which will include September. If you look closely, you might notice some fun nods to their anniversary outfits, such as Mickey's jacket, the style of Minnie's dress, and the vibrant colors. It will be a fun, seasonal twist on the
70th Anniversary Celebration attire.
Some decorative accents for the 70th Anniversary will remain at the parks during Halloween Time, according to an
article on the Disney Parks Blog. However, there wasn't a mention of the anniversary outfits making an appearance during this spooky time of year. Once
Halloween Time begins on August 22, 2025, we'll have a better idea about what to expect.
I know this may come as a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer, but it's a little too early to know which outfits the Characters will wear just after Halloween Time ends. I looked back at photos from my early November visit last year, and at that time, Mickey was wearing his iconic red pants, black jacket, and yellow bowtie. He may wear that again or switch to his anniversary attire for the two weeks leading up to the holiday season. I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Instagram account for updates.
Did you know that Mickey and his pals change their outfits depending on where at the Resort they're visiting? You can use the
Disneyland mobile app to view where the Characters are and when you can meet them. I love stopping by Mickey Mouse's house and Movie Barn in
Toontown. It's always a bit of a surprise to see what he will be wearing. I once met him while he was dressed in his Sorcerer’s Apprentice costume! You can also stop for meet-and-greets along Buena Vista Street in California Adventure, watch for special appearances in shows, and more!
Character Dining is a lot of fun, too. Consider making a reservation at
Storytellers Cafe. There are breakfast, brunch, and dinner options, all of which will feature Character visits and a seasonal theme during Halloween Time. I'm really excited for Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner. A buffet of delicious food, tasty treats, and Characters in their best Halloween attire? Yes, please!
Caroline, I hope your September visit to the Disneyland Resort is everything you're dreaming it will be. If you think of any other questions as you continue planning your trip, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you pumpkin spice and everything nice,
Kriss
