Hello, Akihiro, and welcome to planDisney! September is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. The weather should be nice, and the parks will be buzzing with the spooky fun of
Halloween Time!
During this time of year, Mickey and his pals typically wear fun Halloween costumes as they visit with Guests in Town Square. Last September, I saw Mickey in a cute skeleton-inspired costume with a cape and Minnie in a colorful patchwork dress. They love to switch things up each year, so we’ll likely get a glimpse of their 2025 Halloween Time costumes in the coming months.
Akihiro, to answer your question, we don't currently know if our favorite Disney friends will also wear their
70th Anniversary outfits during Halloween Time. We do know, however, that the “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular and “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade will temporarily pause during Halloween Time to make way for seasonal entertainment. That could also be the case for the anniversary outfits, but since it hasn't been announced, I can't say for sure. Follow the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland account on Instagram to stay updated as information is released!
Did you know Mickey, Minnie, and their pals love to switch outfits depending on where they’re hanging out at the Resort? For instance, you might catch them in their
classic attire in Toontown or
1930s outfits on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. Last fall, they wore harvest-style outfits as they greeted Guests during breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe. It’s just one of the magical touches that makes each visit so memorable.
I suggest downloading the Disneyland mobile app before you head into the parks and using the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to maximize the magic of your trip. With this pass, you'll enjoy shorter wait times at popular attractions, as well as unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos from your day. This is a great benefit if you'd like photos taken at popular locations throughout the park, including with certain characters.
While you are at the Disneyland Resort, Akihiro, you might want to consider going to the
Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure! This separately ticketed event, held after hours, generally features special entertainment and character appearances, treat trails, and more! Guests can even wear costumes during this event (as long as they follow the guidelines). September 14 and 16 are the event dates that may overlap your trip.
Akihiro, September will be here before we know it. Between now and then, please feel free to come to us with any other questions you might have about your trip. We at planDisney are always happy to help!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
