Hello, I am planning to go to disney world in june and I would like to spend one night in one of the resorts but I don’t know which one to choose. are there any resorts that are better for that time of year or that you recommend? :)

    Hiya Caitie!

Thank you so much for sending us your question today and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on Earth! I am so excited to hear that you are planning a new trip to Disney, and I am honoured to be a part of your planning journey. I also absolutely love answering questions from fellow Canadian guests, and as I have grown up in Quebec, that practically makes us neighbours, right?

Since there are so many incredible options available (over 25 to be exact), so I thought I would give you a few suggestions so that you may pick which one best fits your needs! First, let's start with a value resort. Personally, my favourite value resort is Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If you are as big of a fan of Disney's animated films as I am, you must at the very least plan some time to walk around this resort as a guest. You can swim under the sea among Ariel and her friends, join Simba and Nala around the Pride Lands, race against Lightning McQueens around Radiator Springs and even name the zones (the zones, the zones) with Mr. Ray, Nemo and his pals! Plus, you can use the Disney Skyliner as your transportation to and from the parks, which is so nice and pleasant.

Second, my recommendation for a moderate Resort would have to be The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The Cabins are perfect if you are travelling with a bigger group, or if you are a nature-lover like me as it truly transports you to the lush forest of a national park. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort also includes one of my favourite table-service restaurants, Trail's End Restaurant, and offers boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom. You can even watch the Disney Enchantment fireworks from the beach! However, since this resort is unfortunately not currently available for the dates you mentioned, I would also highly recommend checking out Disney's Port Orleans Resort, Riverside or French Quarter. This Resort is not only picturesque and includes amazing meal options and entertainment. And do I even need to mention Mickey Beignets?

Lastly, I would highly recommend Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge as my pick for a Deluxe Resort. Not only does it include some of my favourite restaurants including Boma - Flavors of Africa and Sanaa, but it is also the home of my all-time favourite Disney treat: the Zebra Domes. In addition to the beautiful theming, you can even watch the animals from the Harambe Wildlife Reserve right from your room! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a must-do for any animal-lover like me, and no words could ever do it justice.

I hope these options were helpful, Caitie, and that you will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. When planning your vacation, make sure to take a look at the special offers available for Disney Resorts, as they might make a stay at a Deluxe Resort more affordable than you think! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help, especially from one Canadian to another!

    Have a magical day,
