i am planning to go to disney world with my husband, baby and parents my question is if is a good idea to take to a 17 old month to the parks, I am going to be able to enjoy??? is it too crazy in july

    Hi Patricia,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! I have been taking my boys to Disney since they were born so I've experienced a lot of different stages.  I think that if you go as prepared as possible & in the right mindset, you can have a great time. It will help to have many hands on deck to keep your baby entertained. Your parents can also watch the baby while you & your husband enjoy the bigger attractions so you can sneak in a few minutes alone.

Your baby can ride any of the attractions where they meet the height requirements (HRs). You can find a list of the attractions with HRs by visiting the Traveling with Little Ones section on the Disney World Website. There you will find a PDF file on the right side of that page that lists attractions at all of the theme parks that have HRs.

Some attractions don't have HRs. You know your child betters than anyone, but keep in mind that just because an attraction doesn't have a HR, doesn't mean that every child should ride it. Let me know if you have any questions about any specific attractions.

Bring something to help keep your baby entertained in line - favorite small toys, snacks, bubbles, etc. Be sure to give him/her breaks from their stroller. Try (it will be hard) to stick to nap times. Take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in each theme park. Click here for some tips on strollers.

Since it will be hot in July, click here for some tips to beat the heat.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
