Needasabrina from CT Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am planning to go to Disney World for the first time with my 9 yr / 15 yr old sons. Are the rides and shows at each park at an additional cost? We will be traveling at the end of July. For 5 days.. any suggestions on must see activities, shows etc.

Hi, Needasabrina! Thank you very much for coming to see us with your questions.

Nearly everything at Walt Disney World theme parks is included with the price of your admission. Ride attractions, see shows, and enjoy parades and fireworks all for the price of your ticket. The few exceptions include meals and snacks, carnival or arcade type games, and special tours or seminars, which would be in addition to the regular theme park ticket.

Some must do attractions for my kids include:
Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom - if you don't have a FastPass+ for this popular attraction, run there first thing in the morning or at the very end of the day for the shortest wait. It's an incredible experience.

Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom - This log flume attraction is positively adorable as it tells the story of Br'er Rabbit before it drops you down 5 stories into the cool water below. Perfect for a July day!

Test Track at Epcot - Traveling at speeds up to 65 mph, test your spec car on a virtual road and experience the rigors of making sure your car is up to speed.

Toy Story Land will just be opening a few weeks before your visit. I'd say you definitely want to see the shiny new attractions there. Again, go early or stay late to make the most of your time there.

    Have a wonderful time!
