Hi-- We are planning to go to Disney World in Feb 2017. It is our first time going since we adopted our niece so kids will be 13,8,3,3. My hubby is big and tall and doesn't feel comfortable in a double bed and we are on a budget. Where should we stay?

Hi Giana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I also have a large family so I get the need for enough space for everyone so that you don’t feel cramped. I also know that with a lot of family members vacationing, the cost sure can add up really quickly. As much as I wish I had a money tree in my backyard that just isn’t the case. We are always on a tight budget but we still always have a really amazing time!

For larger families, I highly recommend staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. In my opinion, this resort hotel offers some of the coolest themes on Disney property. You and your kids will be transported into some of their favorite movies, and you really feel like you are part of the action. The selling point for me though is not only that this is considered a “value resort,” but also that each room is considered a “Family Suite” and can accommodate parties of up to six people. Each family suite comes equipped with a bedroom and a queen-size bed, a living room, a kitchenette (which is also a great way to save some money), a double-size convertible TableBed, a double-size sleeper sofa, and TWO bathrooms!

I think that for the price of this resort and all that it has to offer including the space, this really is going to be the best bang for your buck. One last thing…we like to use the kitchenette area especially for breakfast in the morning. We use a grocery delivery service called Garden Grocer. At the beginning of our trip they drop off our order which includes fresh fruit, snacks, bottled water (we always order a case), and also perishables like milk. It is so helpful to have these items right in your room when you need them.

Please come back with any additional vacation planning questions! I really love helping guests just like you!
