Hi, we are planning to go to Disney World during Easter holidays. Its our first visit. Can anyone explain the transportation between and within the theme parks if we stay away from WDW resorts.

    Hi Navya,

Welcome to Walt Disney World for your first visit!

Disney has an extensive, free transportation system that carries guests between the theme parks, the Disney resorts and other attraction areas, such as the Downtown Disney entertainment district. The system includes the monorail, which connects Magic Kingdom and Epcot, plus three of the deluxe resorts.

Other parks and resorts are connected by buses and water taxis. Transportation generally begins at least an hour before the parks open and continues for an hour after closing. Buses run from Downtown Disney to the resorts until 2 a.m.

Even though you are not staying in a Disney resort, you can use that transportation among the parks once you reach Disney property by car or by shuttle from your hotel, if one is offered. Modes of transportation between parks are clearly marked, and Disney cast members are always available to answer questions or point you in the right direction.

I hope that helps. Enjoy your vacation!
