We are planning to go to Disney World between Christmas and New Years. Are we crazy for choosing this time?? I was told that we would have to have another ticket or pass for the Christmas parade on Christmas day, is this true and if so how do we get one?

    Hi Tracy!

You are sooooo not crazy!  You'll just need a little bit of patience with crowds.  In all honesty, it's my favorite time of year to visit Disney World.  The park and resort decorations are stunningly beautiful, and there is an amazing feeling of celebration and festivity throughout.  The weather is chilly, but it makes waiting on lines a lot easier.

If you are referring to the parade that is televised on Christmas Day; that is pre-recorded earlier in the month.  You'll be able to get into Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day with your regular park pass.  It does get very crowded, and sometimes they have to close off the park because it fills to capacity.  I suggest you get there early in the morning, or after 3pm in the afternoon.

You're going to love being there during the holidays!  Disney makes them extra magical!  Have a wonderful time.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
