WE are planning to go to Disney in Oct. and would like to stay in the resort. My only concern is that my son is gluten free and dairy free. Is there places to eat for him or should I consider a condo with a kitchen off the resort. Any thoughts?

Visiting Walt Disney World in October is going to be magical for you and your son. The parks will all be decorated for Halloween and look even neater then usual. As for food concerns, you have nothing to worry about, Disney goes out of it's way to accommodate the special dietary needs of all it's guests. To begin with you should always make advance dining plans by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Here you can advise the handling cast member about the special dietary instructions. Additionally, it does not hurt to contact (407) 939-3463, within 3 days of your visit just to confirm and discussing your requirements with the helpful cast members. Lastly, if you simply alert a cast member at any dining facility they will be happy to provide you with a list of ingredients in each dish so you can make informed decision about eating. On several occasions I have seen the head chef at a Disney food counter gladly come over to a guest and discuss the guests dietary needs in an effort to make this vacation the best it can be. One last tip, I recently saw that you can also resolve any dietary issues by visiting SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com. At this site you can get more information and you can receive a Guest Allergy/Dietary Request Form to fill out to further assist.
