Planning to go to Disney in May for the FL resident special. Part of 3 adults 2 kids (1- 8yr old 1-1 yr old). How much should we budget for the whole trip? would you recommend a dinning plan and which one ?

    Hello Kinna,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your vacation planning questions.  May will be here shortly! How excited you must be to know soon you will be celebrating at the Walt Disney World Resort.

With so many factors to account for, it is hard for me to reasonably budget your idea of a perfect vacation.  I can however give you some more information on the Disney Dining Plan. I love adding a dining plan to our vacation package.  Not only do the dining plans save you money, but they also offer great piece-of-mind in knowing you don't need to worry about a food budget while you are visiting.  My family usually opts for the regular dining plan.  We find having one snack, one quick-service meal and one sit-down meal per day, is the perfect balance and just the right amount of food for us.

You are able to read all about the different dining choices and which restaurants participate with the links above.  When you are ready, you may also make your dining reservations online.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Have a wonderful vacation!

    Magical Wishes,

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Colorado

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
