Hello Anna!
Welcome to planDisney! I love visiting
Disney's Wilderness Lodge! I consider its lobby one of the most beautiful and majestic on Walt Disney World Resort property. I also love the food options at this Resort.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill is a casual dining location with a delicious menu. It's not exactly Quick-Service but it's not a Table Service Restaurant that needs dining reservations. It's more like a lovely lounge.
Walt Disney World Resort Security usually does a good job of securing the parking lots and public spaces of our favorite Resorts. Parking at a Resort for non-Resort Guests is
generally allowed if day Guests are there to enjoy the dining and entertainment but sometimes proof of what you will be enjoying is needed. It may depend on the availability of space or other factors but they may deny you entry if you do not have a reservation number or something concrete to show you have important business at the Resort. (Someone has to drink the Rough Rider Sour.) A solution to consider is to order your meal via
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and enjoy it at the tables outside. You will have a confirmation number on your phone to show security who after viewing it should let you in to park. Unfortunately, the indoor dining spaces are for those who are ordering directly from the Cast Members. Anna, if you want to try and speak with security when you arrive and let them know that you want to eat at that restaurant they may direct you to an area to park and let you know that there is a time limit. Your mileage may vary (literally) but using either of my two suggestions should get you closer to the
Bison Cheeseburger.
If you time it right, you can even relax while watching the
Electrical Water Pageant. It can be a late meal with it showing up around 9:30 pm or so near the restaurant but it may be worth it!
I hope this helps and you have a lovely time!
Happy Planning!
