I am planning to go on the 7 day during Thanksgiving this year. Can you tell me what special Thanksgiving events will be happening? Will there be any of the Holiday Decorations or Holiday events at that time? If so what can I expect?

    Hi, Allison!

This holiday season, all three Disney Cruise Line (DCL) ships will be all decked to the “raft-ers” with holiday cheer. The spirit of the season will surround you from the moment you arrive at the terminal with festive decorations and Disney characters in their finest holiday attire welcoming guests.

Special stem-to-stern holiday events begin during each of the Thanksgiving cruises and include:

    • Nightly “King Triton’s Tree Lighting” in the atrium lobby
    • Family holiday crafts such as decorating stockings, building gingerbread houses, making holiday cards and creating holiday animation cells.
    • Holiday storytellers sharing tales of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Plus, a story about the magical feeling of the holidays on a ship.
    • Traditional holiday feasts in the themed dining rooms
    • “‘Til We Meet Again” on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and “See Ya Real Soon” on the Disney Dream feature a special holiday edition of the cheerful farewell
DCL kicks off the holiday cheer with special Thanksgiving voyages where you'll enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving Day feast -- with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends dressed in traditional Thanksgiving attire.

Activities throughout the day include holiday crafts for youngsters and the big NFL football games broadcast live on the ships’ outdoor, jumbo LED screens – Ariel Vision located near the Goofy’s family pool on deck 9 of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and Funnel Vision near Donald’s family pool on deck 11 of the Disney Dream.

I hope this gets you revved up about spending Thanksgiving on board a Disney ship. Let me know if you have more questions before you sail. Have a wonderful day, a blessed holiday and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
