Hello! We are planning to go to Blizzard Beach next week with our 8 year old DD and 1 year old son. I am concerned about the baby getting too hot or needing a nap mid day. What is the closest hotel and how much of a pain is it to get to? Thanks!

Hi Misty!  I understand your concerns.  The good news is that your son will have his own pint-sized place to cool down at the park.  Tike's Peak is a water play area reserved for little ones who are under 48 inches tall.  But should you find the need to leave the park for a nap, your best bet for a close hotel would be one of Disney's All-Star resorts.  All of them are located quite close to Blizzard Beach and can be accessed by bus.  Whether or not it is a pain to get to is relative.  I'm not patient enough to use Disney transportation myself; I prefer the ability to get in a rental car and go!  But thousands of guests rely on the buses to get from one spot to another each day without any complaints.  I hope that helps!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
