Hi there Jennifer, and welcome back to
planDisney! It's so nice to
ski you here again.
Splish splash! In just a few days you'll be sliding down some of the wildest slopes in all of Florida. A few of my planDisney pals and I recently spent a day chilling out at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, and I'd be happy to answer your question and share a few tips from our visit. It's
snow problem!
First, although reservations are not required to visit Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Cast Members are still monitoring and limited attendance. Capacity closures (which have been extremely rare since the park's late-March reopening) will be reported on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App (on the home screen, scroll down to view Park Hours) and the park's billboard-style entrance sign. Additionally, Guests can call (407) 560-3400 to double-check park availability before arriving.
Secondly, while we didn't encounter Goofy or any other Disney pals in and around Mt. Gushmore, there are several fantastic photo spots throughout the water park, many featuring statues of the Ice Gator, the unofficial mascot of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. We also had a blast snapping pictures on our way out of the park at Sonny's Sleds. If you have a waterproof case for your camera or mobile device, I recommend bringing it along for a trip around
Cross Country Creek. We got some great shots of our group enjoying Disney's most relaxing attraction!
Jennifer, I hope this is helpful as you prepare for some frosty fun at my favorite place to cool off during Olaf's favorite season. Be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, and bring your appetite; Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is home to some legendary treats like the
Sandpail Sundae and
Mini Donuts. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and have an
ice day!
Betsy
