Planning a girls trip (5) and wondering what DVC property would be the best fit. Trip will be chillin by the pool, eating good food, and maybe a little night life. Hawaii is out due to flight $$ Also which type of room would be most comfortable. Date TBD

    Hi Shelley,

What a great question.  The idea of a girls trip for five made me smile - you're going to have a wonderful time!

I would recommend a one-bedroom villa for your stay.  This gives you three options for Disney Vacation Club resorts.  The one-bedroom villas at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, as well as most of the one-bedroom villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's Old Key West Resort will sleep up to five guests.  Of those, I would recommend the one-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower for a number of reasons.

The one-bedroom villas at Bay Lake Tower have two bathrooms, which can be important for five guests.  There are also two bathrooms in the one-bedroom villas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.  However, for the type of getaway you are planning, I think that the location of Bay Lake Tower cannot be beat.

You'll be able to use the monorail to access Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to take advantage of the dining at those resorts as well as at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  All three of these are deluxe resorts with many options for great food.  I really enjoy Citricos at the Grand Floridian for upscale dining, and the view from the California Grill at the Contemporary cannot be beat.

I also truly enjoy Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower. It is nestled on Bay Lake and provides easy access to the Cove Bar for a quick bite to eat or beverage while you are relaxing poolside.

Enjoy your trip, and please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
