Hi! Planning gender reveal at magic kingdom. How can I avail photopass service (memory maker)? Is it different from capture your moment? Thank you!

Welcome back to planDisney, Beverly Diane! How exciting that your trip is just around the corner and you're getting closer to your vacation as well as your gender reveal moment. You'll definitely want to capture these memories, and I'm happy to let you know exactly how Disney PhotoPass works so you can get lots of pictures of your special moment!

Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed all around Magic Kingdom Park in picturesque spots that will be the perfect backdrop for your photos. You can find their exact locations in the My Disney Experience app! When you've decided where you want to have your photo taken, head to that location and get in line. When it's your turn, let the Cast Member know that you'll be doing a gender reveal so they're prepared for the big moment. Since you have Memory Maker, all of your photos should appear in your My Disney Experience account that day ready to download so you can share your big news with your friends and family!

You mentioned Capture Your Moment, and I think that it's the perfect way to photograph your gender reveal since it's a bit more of a personalized experience. While you'll only have a minute or two if you choose to find a photo opportunity on your own in the Theme Park, the Capture Your Moment experience gives you 20 minutes to take photos in front of Cinderella Castle. You'll be able to get all the poses you want in a couple of locations so you'll have lots of photos to choose from to remember your day. There is a fee associated with booking a Capture Your Moment session but since you already have Memory Maker, you'll be able to download all your photos at no extra cost! Capture Your Moment needs to be booked in advance, so I recommend checking out if there are any open spots before you leave for your trip.

Have a magical day, Beverly Diane!
