Hi Ruby!
December at Disney is my favorite time to go! If any place gets you in that holiday spirit, Disney tops the list..
When you purchase a
Disney Dining Plan, each person will get a certain amount of meal entitlements per day. For the wide majority of meals at Disney (Quick Service, Table Service, Character Meals), they only cost guests 1 meal entitlement per person. However, there are a few unique dining experiences that costs 2 meal entitlements per person. These are meals held at Signature restaurants, any dinner shows, or Cinderella's Royal Table. A Signature restaurant is the equivalent of an upscale restaurant you would go to off Disney premises. I look at it as the restaurants for those with sophisticated palettes :-) The food is top-notch, with excellent service, an elegant setting, and usually come with a truly unique experience (i.e. Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios) or unique location (i.e. California Grill at the Contemporary resort).
As for free dining promotions, I don't recall Disney offering December free dining promotions, but it doesn't say they haven't or won't. Most of the December deals our family have taken advantage of were discounts on the resort itself (which can be just as good). But keep checking the
Special Offers link periodically, because there's no telling what Disney may offer this year or in the future...
Hope that clarifies. Have a magical time on your December visit!
