Ahoy, Stacey!
If you're like me, I'm always planning ahead and dreaming of our next Disney Cruise Line vacation! I love having a Disney Cruise on the calendar to look forward to - the anticipation of the magic is half the fun. I'm excited to hear you're considering an Alaskan adventure! The breathtaking scenery and amazing port stops make it high on a lot of Disney Cruise bucket lists.
When deciding which length cruise to choose, of course I'm always a fan of "the longer onboard the better". I would definitely recommend the 7 or 9-night voyages, simply because there's so much to see and do on an Alaskan cruise. As far as
when to travel, weather in Alaska can be unpredictable, so what was the "best" one year may not be the most desirable the next. You can usually expect a wide range of temperatures during your sailing, anywhere from the 50s to the high 70s. Many guests choose mid-June and July cruises because during that time, Alaskan days have the longest daylight hours. My good friend Anthony is on an Alaskan Disney Cruise right now, and he posted the most AMAZING photo of the gorgeous, snow-capped mountains off the ship's deck - taken at 11:30pm!
When choosing
Alaskan Port Adventures, you can filter the results by Activity Level, for the "non-adventurous" in your crew. You can choose from Athletic, Moderate or Mild, and find the best adventure for your sailing party. You can also filter by Experience Type: Active, Nature, Sightseeing, Splashtacular, Culinary - The Chew Approved, Cultural, or choose a Private or Signature Collection Adventure. Hopefully you'll be able to find a "practically perfect" adventure in every port! There are so many to choose from, and so many magical memories to be made along the way.
I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
