We are planning 8 full days with park hopper. How would you best split up the days; how many days/nights for each park, how many rest/pool days?

Hello Caitlin!  It's so nice to see a Guest from my home state visiting planDisney!

If "a dream is a wish your heart makes" mine is wishing for an eight-day Park Hopper pass like yours! With such a dreamy vacation coming up you and your party must be so excited to dive into the rest of your planning.  Between making Park Pass reservations, Advance Dining Reservations, and knowing you'll have some great "Resort" days, you have so much magic to look forward to.  While it may seem like a lot to plan, enjoy the excitement knowing you're "almost there!"

Since Walt Disney World Resort is made up of four Theme Parks, two Water Parks, more than 25 Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and the shopping, dining and entertainment area of Disney Springs, you're definitely not going to run out of things to see and do!

Depending on the number of people in your party, as well as their ages and special interests, your schedule of Park days may look different than mine, but the new complimentary Disney Genie Service can get to know you better than I can! This service provides you and your family with great ideas and a daily itinerary that will help you maximize your time at the Resort. It will take your family's interests into consideration as it maps out your park days and will even remind you of plans that you already have scheduled, such as dining reservations.

I personally LOVE having a Park Hopper Option ticket because it allows my family to get out early for "rope drop" in the morning, return to the Resort for an afternoon nap or swim, and then feel refreshed as we head out to a different Theme Park in the evening.  Since you currently only need a Park Pass Reservation for your first park of the day, a Park Hopper allows more flexibility in the afternoon hours, letting you make spur-of-the-moment decisions about where you want to head for dinner.  This is especially useful if you happen to grab a great last-minute dining reservation in a Theme Park!

The Park Hopper Option also allows you to return to any park where you wish you had just a little more time! Didn't get to ride Slinky Dog Dash on your first day at Disney's Hollywood Studios? No problem, head back another evening and enjoy your wait during the cooler, evening hours.

With so much flexibility, you and your party will be able to take it slow and really enjoy all the magic the Resort has to offer.  With eight days to explore, you'll be able to go to each Theme Park at least twice and spend a day or two relaxing by the pool or shopping and dining at Disney Springs.  The options are endless and being spontaneous might lead you and your family to their best Disney vacation ever!

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
