I am planning my first World Disney vacation, along side two of my friends. We were hoping to visit the park, maybe do some sight seeing, and night life. Would love to see the beach. What is the best way to plan these events. And is there laundry service?

    Hi, Olivia!

Visiting Walt Disney World with your pals sounds like a lot of fun!  Your options are endless, but let me toss out a vacation plan.  See what you think!

I would start by booking a resort.  Since you want nightlife, you might enjoy the BoardWalk Inn.  Here, you are within walking distance to Epcot where you will find some amazing restaurants and some fun places for drinks in World Showcase.  On the BoardWalk, you can enjoy the 21-and-over JellyRolls for a really fun night out with dueling pianos.  There is also the ESPN Zone if you want to catch a game on one of their huge TV's.

Downtown Disney is another great spot for nighttime fun.  La Nouba, House of Blues, or Bongos Cuban Cafe are always hopping!   You can even enjoy shopping or a movie while visiting here.

If you want to take a day off from the parks and head to the beach, you can rent a car for the day.  There are 2 rental locations:

National/Alamo at the Car Care Center
    1000 Car Care Drive
Lake Buena Vista , FL 32830
    Phone: (407) 824-3470
    Hours: Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    National/Alamo Desk
    Disney Dolphin Resort
    1500 Epcot Resort Blvd
    Orlando , FL 32830
    Phone: (407) 934-4930
    Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day

The Dolphin location will be just a short walk from the BoardWalk.

And finally, yes, there are laundry facilities available.  But I suggest just packing plenty of clothes so you don't have to worry about that!  Just use this time to hang with your friends and have FUN!   I hope this gives you a good start.  Let me know if you need more ideas as you start planning your magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
