I am planning our first weeklong stay for my son's 2nd birthday in December. Which DVC resorts have the best playgrounds for a toddler?

    Hi Shannon,

How exciting to be planning both your first week-long trip as well as a birthday celebration for a vacation at Walt Disney World! This is going to be a special trip indeed.

When my daughter was younger, we spent lots of time on the playgrounds at Walt Disney World resorts. I always found them to be attractive, contained well for safety, and a great way to let her spend some energy!

Two of my favorite Disney Vacation Club resorts for playground are Disney's BoardWalk Villas and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. At BoardWalk Villas, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area is colorful and fun. The Hakuna Matata Playground at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House is located near the flamingo area and a savanna, which adds to the enjoyment when you spend time there. I have memories of my daughter climbing and running on these playgrounds for a long time! Both are also located near to the main swimming pool of each resort, which means that you can go back and forth from the pool to the playground if you like. Another bonus is that in December, both of these resorts will be stunningly decorated for the winter holidays!

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Shannon. Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
