We are planning the first WDW visit for our 2 year old. I almost booked a pkg at the Animal Lodge Resort but backup as it looks like it will be more fun for older kids and parents than for a toddler. What is the best resort for toddlers?

    Hi JD,

I think any hotel at the Walt Disney World resort would be good for a toddler!  However, i do have two recommendations.

If you think you are going to spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, then I suggest staying in a Magic Kingdom Resort:   Disney's Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Resort, and the Wilderness Lodge.  The first three are located on the Magic Kingdom monorail line.  The last resort is easily reachable via a boat from the Magic Kingdom.  Staying in one of these resorts will allow you to easily return to your hotel for a nap, etc.

The other recommendation is to consider staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort.  It is located on Crescent Lake between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Stormalong Bay is the main pool there and it is absolutely amazing.  It is a sand-bottom pool and the kids area has a small sand island in the middle.  My cousin brought her baby there last summer and it was almost impossible to get her and my 5 year old out of the pool; they could have spent the whole vacation building sand castles there.
