We are planning our first WDW trip in June. I was trying to imagine how the weather would be but I thought this would be a good question to ask the experts. We have 3 kids, twins who are 1 1/2 and a 4 year old. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there, Maurika!

The weather in June is definitely the epitome of the Florida summer. While the humidity is not entirely overpowering (that comes later!), the temperatures can get into the low nineties during the day, and the high seventies or low eighties at night. You will not need any kind of sweatshirt or light jacket, but you will most certainly need your bathing suit!

The most important tips I can offer: hydration, sunscreen, and downtime. Make sure to acknowledge all three.

You'll want to keep your travel party drinking water all day. Not only are water fountains readily available throughout Walt Disney World, but you can purchase (and bring in) bottled water all over the Parks and Resort.

Sunscreen is critical. Make sure to get those often-overlooked spots: the ears, the back of the neck, the tops of the feet (if you've got a sandal-wearer amongst you). Bring your bottle with you, and reapply a few times throughout the day. Hats and sunglasses never hurt, either!

Finally, build in time to rest and recharge. Plan on an afternoon nap in the cool of your Resort room, or a swim in the pool. Those few hours of relaxing may mean the difference between seeing Wishes! -- and wishing you had the energy.

While June is warm, it is by no means unconquerable. Dress for the weather and be aware that you'll need to make accommodation for the heat. If you go into this trip planned and ready, you're sure to have the time of your lives!

    See you later, celebrator,
