I am planning our first WDW trip with our girls, ages 5 & 8, for Nov. 09. I am trying to decide whether to book at a value or moderate resort. Any suggestions? Also, does disney offer any discounts for law enforcement officers/family?

Hi, Misty!  Planning your first trip can be a lot of fun!

When choosing between Value and Moderate resorts, I would suggest going to the Disney website and compare the benefits.  Click HERE to check out the Value resorts and HERE for Moderate resorts.  The rooms at the moderate resorts will give you a bit more room, and they don't feel quite as crowded as the value resorts.  The moderates are more expensive;  You can compare the prices on the website.  You can even price out your entire vacation to see what your final cost will be.  That might also determine your choice.  Perhaps a moderate would be nice, but a value might fit your budget better!

If given the choice, I prefer the Moderate Resorts.  My family's favorite it Port Orleans Riverside.  They have a great pool area and beautiful grounds to walk around.  Their food court has a nice selection for your girls to pick from.  We also like that there is a boat that will take you to Downtown Disney.  It is a nice break from driving or taking a bus.

There are no discounts for law enforcement officers that I am aware of.  However, check HERE for great special offers that Disney is currently offering.

Have fun planning your magical vacation!
