I am planning our First WDW trip for my family. Kids will be 5 and almost 3 when we go. We were thinking either last week of February or 2nd week of May. Can't decide on when would be a good time to go. Low crowds and weather are my concerns. Help!

    Jamie,

Both times of year are great to travel to Walt Disney World, but I'm a huge fan of visiting in May. You'll experience Epcot's beautiful Flower & Garden Festival, scheduled to run through May 18, 2014, and you may also be able to catch Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios towards the end of your trip. Weather at this time can be quite warm, which makes pool time that much more enjoyable. Keep in mind Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend is scheduled to take place February 20-23rd, which will impact crowd levels. I vote May, Jamie, but honestly, both times of year are very pleasant.

Planning your first trip to Walt Disney World is so exciting, and we'll be here to help you every step of the way. Please feel free to write us back with any other questions coming to mind.

    Best wishes,
    Sherri
