I am planning our first WDW trip for my family of 5 (2 adults, kids ages 14, 11 and 3) and trying to stay on a budget. We are planning on arriving June 8th and staying until the 13th. Any recommendations on lodging, dining, must-do's?

    Hi Sara,

There are many tips I can share when it comes to visiting Walt Disney World on a budget. Here are a few:

    -Check out
Disney's Value Resorts. These resorts are great for families on a budget, especially larger ones that may need more room. Look into the family suites offered at Disney's All-Star Music and Art of Animation. These suites offer a kitchenette, which is great if you'd like to save a little money and have breakfast in your room.

-Decide if a Disney Dining Plan will work for your family. We love to use dining plans since it's something that we can budget for ahead of time, pay, and not have to worry about bringing money for food while in the parks. For us, the numbers work out better than buying everything a la cart in the parks. Check out what's offered in the Quick Service Dining Plan and see if it's a good package for your family.

-There are so many "must-do's" when it comes to your Walt Disney World vacation. My best suggestion is to decide which parks you want to visit, get FASTPASS selections for popular rides, and be sure to plan rides that the whole family will enjoy. My 3 year old loves Magic Kingdom since there are many options for her. We love Hollywood Studios for attractions where everyone can ride, like Muppet*Vision 3D.

There's so much more to share, Sara, but I hope this was a good start to get your vacation planning going. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
