Hi! Planning our first WDW trip with our 9 yo daughter late Jan 2013. I like the idea of surprising her with a makeover at BBB before dining at CRT but wonder if she's too old for this? Is there another special idea you may have for her?

Hi Jan! I honestly don't think 9 is too old for a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique make over and then a special dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. We often get asked about doing adult make overs so moms can participate with their children and still again we have questions from guests who have 12 year olds who want to do this activity. I feel nine is a perfect age....they can participate in the makeover and really get into the whole process. Who doesn't want to be a princess for at least one day in their life?

There are other things you can do but nothing compares to the makeover/princess dinner. If she feels more comfortable being a pirate there is always the Pirates League which is similar but with the pirate theme. Many guests then take the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise that evening to top off their themed day.

There is the princess tea at the Grand Floridian but I think she would like the entire special day over just a short time. I say surprise her with your original plan. You are never too old to make believe for a day!
