Hello! We’re planning our first WDW trip! We’re currently arriving at MCO at 11am and staying at AOA (need to drop carryons here) and then going to HS. What would be an appropriate time for a dining reservation? Would 2:30 be cutting it too close?

Hi Katie! Your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort!!! I'm so excited for you!!!

I love how thorough and detailed you are with your planning! While I believe you have given yourself enough time to make it to Disney's Hollywood Studios on the day you arrive, my concern would be potential flight delays. Be sure to review the cancellation policy when you book your dining reservation. The cancellation policy is provided in your email confirmation. (Of course, I'm thinking happy pixie-dusted thoughts that your flight is on time, but the mom in me likes to be prepared for everything.)

Your dining options at Disney's Hollywood Studios are magnificent! Two of my favorites are The Hollywood Brown Derby and Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano.

You are absolutely doing a great thing by planning and making dining reservations now. Restaurants and reservations fill up quickly. Typically, on our arrival day, once we board Disney's Magical Express, we start looking at dining options. Based on your arrival day being a Wednesday and you are looking at an off time to dine, you might have several great dining options available. If we are not able to secure a reservation, we always have a quick service location picked out. There are several great quick service restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

All of that being said, if you are comfortable with the cancellation policy, then yes, 2:30 should be perfect!

Thank you so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Please let me know if you need any other information as you plan your first magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
