We are planning our first visit to WDW with our daughters 8 and 10. We are torn between the Comtemporary Resort with ease of transportation and character meals and Wilderness Resort. Would welcome thoughts. Thanks

    Hi there, Ericha!

Choosing between awesome Resort hotels at Walt Disney World ... isn't that the most delicious dilemma?

From your question, it seems like your mind is already well on its way to being made up! Disney's Contemporary Resort is a fantastic hotel, located on the monorail line, that boasts a wealth of amenities. These include, of course, an incredible pool area, multiple places to dine, and terrific shopping.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge, like its sister Contemporary, is also a Deluxe Resort. With easy boat launch access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, its offerings include a great pool area, the (in)famous Whispering Canyon Cafe, and absolutely beautiful theming, complete with lush forest-like landscaping.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness are a Moderate class of Resort. These Cabins offer seclusion and peace, while immersing Guests in the heart of the Disney property. With a recently refurbished pool area, convenient water access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, motorcoach transportation to all other Guest areas, and the fun of Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Singalong, this is a very popular spot for repeat Guests.

Again, it's quite a choice. But if you are looking for convenience, characters, and luxury, of those three, your best bet does sound like Disney's Contemporary.

Have a wonderful trip - you won't go wrong with any!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
