We are planning our first visit and have found so many amazing suggestions with this panel - so thank you so much! My Q is about dinner shows - which do you prefer - Hoop-Dee-Do, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, or Spirit of Aloha Show?

Hi Andrea!  It is so hard to recommend one of the dinner shows without knowing if you have children coming with you or if you will be alone.  I will give you a brief review of each and hopefully that will help.

MIckey's Backyard Barbecue is held in Fort Wilderness in the warmer months...it will start up again in March.  It is like a big picnic held in an open area complete with a live band, games for the kids and lots of characters.  The younger children LOVE this dinner show as they can get up and learn to line dance with Goofy and friends and they don't have to sit still!

Hoop De Doo is a great family dinner show again in the Fort Wilderness area.  I have found that the older children enjoy the humor here more then the younger ones and it is a fun experience for the entire family.  It is a tough choice between the two but if you have little pre-school/early school age then choose the Barbecue.

The Spirit of Aloha Show is wonderful as well.  Many couples love this show but if your family longs for the white sand beaches of Hawaii then this will make you feel like you are just a bit closer.  If you are in need of a good laugh then hit the Hoop De Doo but if you want a more relaxing experience the Laua is wonderful.

I know I didn't answer your specific question because I don't know what the family dynamic is.  Our own family enjoys the fun and humorous shows the best but we have done all three and will do all three again!
