I am planning our first visit to Disney World and so excited. I have 2 boys, 6 and 9 and staying at Wilderness lodge 4/26 (arrive in Orlando at 9pm)-5/4 (depart Orlando at 1:00). Based off the days we will be there, which parks on which days?

    Hi Michele!

How exciting that your family is about to enjoy Walt Disney World together for the first time!

Are you using a Disney Dining Plan during your stay? If so, you'll want to reserve yourselves some dining right away. Have you thought of enjoying a Character Meal or two? If you'd like recommendations for some fabulous, family dining, please write me back and I'll be happy to assist you further in any way I can!

Since it's your family's first visit, I'm a firm believer in your first park being Magic Kingdom. Nothing starts you out better than walking down Main Street U.S.A. and seeing that majestic Castle welcoming you to the Happiest Place On Earth! On the 27th of April, the park is open until 10pm, so you'll have a nice, full day to see it all!

Sunday, consider heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The boys will be in heaven at this park. Lots of thrills and lots of 'boy stuff' from stunt car shows, to Star Wars, to Indiana Jones and Toy Story Mania! The park has evening Extra Magic Hours, so you can pack in more fun!

On Monday, the choice is yours. If you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you may consider beginning the day early at Animal Kingdom (there's morning Extra Magic Hours 8-9am) and then head on over to Magic Kingdom later in the day since it's open until midnight!

Tuesday or Wednesday would be great days to consider some new thrills and adventures galore at Epcot. On the alternate day, consider a visit to one of Disney's Water Parks. They're amazing fun, and less busy on week days. If you don't plan on water parks during your stay, enjoy some relaxing time at your resort pool. On Thursday, let the boys choose what park they'd like to return to for your final, big day!

If you'd like additional tips, visit me again. I'd love to hear from you again Michele!

Wishing you and your family a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
