Hi there, we are planning our first visit to Disney with an almost two year old. Where is the quietest/best place to take them for nap time inside Disneyland and California Adventures? Thank you!

Welcome to planDisney, Khristian. I'm so glad that you've stopped by! First visits to Disneyland are a specialty of mine. All three of my kids went to the Happiest Place on Earth when they were still in diapers, so I am excited to answer your question!

First things first, I want you to know that there is a Baby Care Center in each of the Disneyland Resort theme parks. In Disneyland, it is at the end of Main Street near the Little Red Wagon, and in California Adventure, you can find the Baby Care Center in San Fransokyo Square near Ghirardelli Soda Fountain. The Baby Care Centers each have changing tables, a nursing area with rocking chairs, toddler-sized toilets, and more! They also stock for-purchase items like diaper wipes, sunscreen, and baby food, in case you're in need. They are a great resource for when your littlest Mouseketeer needs some extra care during your trip. The Cast Members there are incredibly sweet and helpful!

Now, on to your question! Khristian, there are lots of quiet spots for your toddler to nap in. My two favorite places in California Adventure are Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, which has lots of shade and less ride noise, and the Amincation Building, which is inside and has darker lighting. The Animation Building, in particular, is great on warmer days, and I find the Sorcerer's Workshop inside it to be the quietest spot of all. There are also some great seating areas in Hollywood Land, and the walkway around Grizzly River Run can be quite serene.

Inside Disneyland, my favorite place is the Main Street Cinema. It's inside and, even though there is music playing, all of it instrumental, so it's rather peaceful. There are benches inside so you can easily sit while your little one naps. Honorable mentions go to Tom Sawyer Island, The Golden Horseshoe, and any of the walkways into Galaxy's Edge from Bayou Country and Frontierland.

To find any of these locations, you can use the search function inside the Disneyland app. Just type in the name of the location, click on the result you want, and select "Find on Map." Cool, right? Another neat thing about the Disneyland App -  you can use it to find rides based on height, age, and even thrill factor. It's the easiest way to find rides for you and your little one to enjoy. To do this, open the Disneyland app and tap the pin icon, second to the left on the bottom of the home screen. This opens up the park map with all the resort attractions showing. From here, click "Filter" in the top left of the navigation bar, and it will give you numerous filter options to fit your family's needs!

Khristian, I hope this information helps you plan a magical visit. Please visit again with any other questions!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
