    We are planning our first vacation to WDW and staying at the Saratoga Springs Hotel. We have an 11 yo girl and a 7 yo boy. Since Downtown Disney is so close, what do you recommend doing in the evenings in Downtown Disney? Thanks so much!

    Hi Ginger,

    Congratulations on planning your first Disney World vacation! You're going to have such an amazing time!

    I love Downtown Disney and always spend time there during our trips.  There is always so much going on and its a great place to take a break from the theme parks.

    There are so many awesome places to dine at Downtown Disney but keeping your kids in mind, I'd suggest either Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex Cafe or Planet Hollywood. Click here to make reservations at either of these locations. Reservations can be made beginning 180 days prior to your trip.

    There are also lots of great shopping locations. For your son, check out Ridemakerz, the Lego Imagination Center and Once Upon a Toy.  For your daughter, check out littlemissmatched and TrenD.

    If your kids are into video and interactive games, check out DisneyQuest.

    There are lots of entertainment options as well. Some of my favorites are:
    * Characters In Flight
    * Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba
    * AMC Pleasure Island 24 Theatres
        For more info on these, click here.

    There are also some really talented performers you'll find along the walkways as well. Let me know if you have any questions regarding any of these recommendations.  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
