Hi, we are planning our first vacation to Disney World maybe sometime this year if not the beginning of 2015. Where do I start? I haven't ever planned this big of vacation before and I need a little guidance.

    Hi Jodi:

There is so much to do at Walt Disney World that a number of guests ask themselves, "where do I begin?" The good news is that there are some great Disney vacation planning tools available right on Walt Disney World's website.

My first piece of advice is to order the DisneyVacation Planning DVD, which will give you an overview of Disney World's four amazing theme parks, two incredible water parks and more than 20 magnificent Disney Resort hotels, as well as give you family vacation planning tips and details about special events in Disney Parks in Florida.

I would also visit Walt Disney World's website to browse vacation packages and take advantage of Disney's My Disney Experience to help you create an itinerary of must-see attractions and entertainment. Also look at Disney Planning Your First Trip in-depth planning guide for more planning insight..

Although a lot of information to take in, the sooner you start planning the better. It's likely that after a few minutes browsing these websites, you'll find that planning a Disney vacation is a lot more fun than intimidating.   Once you absorb the basic information, return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask more questions.

    Enjoy your planning.
