I am planning for my first vacation at Disney World. 1) Is there any laundry service at Art of Animation? 2) Is there any on site doctor in the resort/park? 3)Is there any grocery place at the resort or near the park? Thanks!

Hi, Esther! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you are planning your very first vacation at Walt Disney World!

Yes, there is a 24-hour self-service laundry area at Disney's Art of Animation Resort by the Big Blue Pool. It only takes credit and debit cards for washers, dryers, and soap vending.

While there are no doctors on the resorts, there are first aid stations throughout the resort, all of which are properly supported by registered nurses. Also, there are many urgent care facilities nearby. Lake Buena Vista Centra Care is open weekdays from 8:00 am-midnight and from 8:00 am-8:00 p.m. on weekends. They offer free transportation from/to their facilities and can be reached at (407) 934-2273. If you would rather have a doctor visit you at your resort, there is Physician Room Service, which offers mobile urgent care doctor visits to your resort room. Their phone number is (407) 238-2000. In case of a bigger emergency, the AdventHealth Celebration Hospital is nearby and can be reached by calling 911. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you will not need this information!

As for grocery shopping, you can always buy food items at your resort gift shop. If you need a much bigger selection though, you can order from local businesses such as Garden Grocer or Dizzy Dolphin Delivery. You can also ship to your resort from Amazon. In any case, be aware that there is a $5 per package fee to pay. Bell Services will receive your items and keep them for you.

Esther, I hope this answer is helpful to you. I wish you and your family a truly magical vacation! If you have any more questions, please visit us again.

    See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
