Hello. We are planning our first vacation to Disney. We are staying off site at a local resort. We were wondering which day was best to visit Magical Kingdom over Memorial Weekend, Sun, Mon or Tues? Is there anything special planned for the holiday?

Your first visit to Walt Disney World over Memorial Day is going to be so exciting. While the parks can become rather crowded over that particular weekend, with some patience and some pixie dust, you will have a blast. While there currently are no special events planned for Memorial Day there is the daily flag retreat ceremony on Monday at the Magic Kingdom on Main Street U.S.A., which is really worth watching. The whole area stops and the respectful ceremony brings emotions to all on such a special holiday. On a lighter note, your visit will coincide with Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each weekend, your family can join in celebrating the Star Wars movies and all the other spin offs. You might be able to see celebrities and characters for special shows, panels, presentations and more! We love the dance off which is a must see. Where else can you watch Darth Vader dance! Have a wonderful vacation and may the force be with you.
