Hi Steven,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking a question. Our little guy’s first visit was when he was 5 1/2 months old, so I’m sure you won’t be surprised when I say that 6 months is definitely not too young to bring a baby to Walt Disney World Resort!
You may have heard that you shouldn’t plan a trip to Walt Disney World Resort because your little one “won’t remember it”. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Making memories for yourself are just as important as what your little one will or won’t remember. I remember my little guy clapping his chubby little hands with glee when he met Mickey for the first time and the way he giggled when he saw fireworks for the first time. Memories are what make vacations priceless to me and where better to make vibrant and happy memories than at Walt Disney World Resort?
Walt Disney World Resort is a great choice for a vacation with a little one, because of the fact that everything in the Resort is made for families. One of the biggest reasons for that are the
Baby Care Centers, which have extra-large changing tables, rocking chairs for nursing and all kinds of baby paraphernalia (for sale) that you may need to enjoy the Theme Parks with your little one.
As for what to do with your baby, you’ll be happy to know that if an attraction says that it can be experienced by Guests of “
any height”, you should be able to enjoy it with your baby in your lap. I also recommend "baby wearing" (i.e. using a baby carrier or a wrap/sling). After a day or two of trying to wrangle our stroller and bucket, I started wearing my little guy and it was so much easier.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
