Hi, Nancy! I'm glad to hear you are planning to take breaks with your 4 year old. Those little legs get tired after walking around the parks!
For the most convenient hotel to the Magic Kingdom, you might want to consider the Contemporary. This is the only Disney Resort with a walking path directly to the Magic Kingdom. Other resorts convenient to the Magic Kingdom are the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Convenience does have a price, as these are all
Deluxe Resorts.
Resorts located near Epcot and Hollywood Studios are the Yacht and Beach Clubs, and the Boardwalk. Very convenient to these parks, but again, in the Deluxe Category.
If you choose a
Moderate or Value Resort, you will find the bus transportation to be easy to use, but count on an average of about a 30 minute commute time from you resort to any of the theme parks. If thinking about a Moderate Resort, consider
Caribbean Beach. They have either Pirate or Nemo rooms, and a great pool for our little Mouseketeers! I suggest booking a preferred room and request to be near the pool and Old Port Royale to reduce the time you spend walking around this very large resort.
Have fun planning your magical vacation!
