Planning first trip for 6&8 year old boys! There seems to be a strategy to visiting parks to avoid max crowds. Arrive 5/27 and go to parks 5/28-5/31, 1 day each at AK, HS, 2 at MK. Can you offer advice on which days we should visit each park?

    Hi Jami!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

My favourite strategy for the parks is to arrive as early as possible.  Are you staying on-property?  If so, it is a good idea to make use of the Extra Magic Hours which is offered only to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests.

The four theme parks open at 9.00 a.m. each day, unless they are operating Extra Magic Hours, when they will open at 8.00 a.m.

I have given details below, of which parks are opening early on the dates of your visit:

Disney's Animal Kingdom:  28th May: opens 8.00 am.
    Disney's Hollywood Studios: 28th May: stays open 9.00 pm-midnight and 30th May: opens 8.00 a.m.
Magic Kingdom: 31st May: opens 8.00 am.

If you have any more questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your first magical vacation to Walt Disney World !
