We are planning our first trip w/our kids to DW as a family. We are debating between October and January. My mother's 60th birthday is 1/2/11 so we are contemplating surprising her for her birthday, but I'm afraid October would be better weather. Help

The weather choices are always tricky when talking about Orlando. I was there this past December and wore hat and gloves the whole trip! Brrrrr! January is usually pleasant but plan that it could be little cool in the evenings if you are planning to do fireworks at all. October is in the middle of hurricane season. (Yikes!) With that in mind, you may be dealing with very windy days, rain and conditions that are somewhat unpredictable. But the temperatures in October are usually very pleasant, with it being just a little cooler in the evening. I am going to stay on the safe side and not recommend which time because either one could be beautiful or yucky..Its Orlando!!
