Planning our first trip to WDW(May 13~20). We are doing a 5 day park hopper with quick service meal plan and a character breakfast. Need help finding a resort. I've looked at A of A, Pop and POR. We have two adults, two children (boy-7,girl-5). Please help!

    Hi, Cheri!

Let's start with your Quick Service Dining Plan.  This plan covers 2 Quick Service meals per day.  If you plan to do any table service dining or character buffets, you will have to pay for these out of pocket as they will not be covered with your Dining Plan credits.

I think your kids would enjoy one of the Value Resorts.  Art of Animation offers Standard Rooms with 2 double beds or 2 room Family Suites that sleep up to 6 guests.  This resort just opened in 2012, so it is all brand new!   It has quickly become the favorite of many WDW guests.

Pop Century is my favorite Value Resort.  There are no Family Suites, but this resort offers a great value for families.   There is a great food court and the main Hippy Dippy pool is so much fun for kids.

If you decide you would like a bit larger room, you will want to upgrade to Port Orleans Riverside.  Here you will find beautiful walking paths around the resort, a fun pool slide, and even a bus to Downtown Disney.

Wherever you decide, I hope your vacation is magical!  Good luck deciding on where to stay.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
