We are planning our first trip to WDW with our two daughters (2YO & 13mths) this October. We plan to do the Dining Plus plan....even though our daughter will be under 3 and technically "free", should be purchase a dining plan for her, too?

    Hello, Lisa,

A first trip to Walt Disney World is such a wonderful experience!  I'm so excited for your family.

The option to purchase the Disney Dining Plan for your daughter is not available since she is not yet 3 years old.  However, she is allowed to eat off your plate, which is a great bonus when dining at any of the buffets or family style restaurants.   Our dining experience has often been that we find that we have plenty of food, so sharing was not difficult for us to do as a family.

If you find that you'd rather have her have her own meal, you can certainly order one for her and simply pay out of pocket.  And when you think that you don't have to buy a park ticket for her, I think you're still coming out ahead with saving money.

Have a magical trip!  Please let us know if we can help again; we all know how overwhelming it can be planning a first trip to Walt Disney World.
